A little back-ground on what
went on at the 9-1-1 Center.

We installed a spare CAD
station to use for non-emergency calls such as trees down. This was very
helpful as it let the other stations remain available for emergency calls. |

Just in case, we had a
battery and inverter to power small AC devices. |

A stand-by generator is on
the trailer and you see our primary generator on the concrete slab. The
County pre-position the stand-by just in case our primary generator failed.
We were without commercial power for just over 20 hours and the primary
generator did fine. It was comforting to know we had a spare generator if
needed. |

After things calmed down
around 11pm, the administrative staff that had been on-duty all day
retreated to their respective offices for a little rest. |
